DERMAPLANING

A simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis.
A simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the skin, dermaplaning is an exfoliation technique that removes the oldest dead skin cells on the skin’s epidermis (outermost surface) to reveal the fresher, younger skin cells below. By shaving off the superficial epidermis, dermaplaning removes the buildup of dirt and oils in the outer follicles that becomes trapped by fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). Removing the hair gives the patient healthier and glowing skin. Additionally, removing the outer layers of epidermal skin allows products and serums to penetrate more readily into the deeper layers, which extends your results and dollar investment in facial skincare products.

INCREASES THE EFFECTIVENESS OF OTHER FACIAL PROCEDURES

We love this treatment to prepare the face for procedures such as laser hair removal, Diamond Glow(microdermabrasion), chemical peels and facials. By wiping away the dead skin, other treatments are able to penetrate deeper yielding better results.

DERMAPLANING:

- Increases the effectiveness of other facial treatments
- Allows a deeper penetration of skin care products
- Has few to no adverse effects
- Is quick and requires no downtime

SAFE FOR PREGNANT OR NURSING MOTHERS

This is a great treatment for pregnant or nursing mothers who want a deep exfoliation, but are not allowed to use peeling agents on their skin because of the risk that chemicals will be absorbed into the blood stream.

WITH DERMAPLANING YOU CAN EXPECT:

- Smooth and glowing skin
- Mild reduction in appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Mild reduction in acne scarring
- Mild reduction in hyperpigmentation (darkening of an area caused by increased melanin)
